This is something I struggled to figure out, and I can't seem to find a straightforward guide anywhere else on the internet, so I decided to make a guide here.Step 1: Acquire the EUROPEAN version of Wipeout Pulse (UCES00465). The DLC was only released in Europe, and will not work with the American or Japanese version.EDIT: I would like to take this time to point out that the European version of Wipeout Pure has the best DLC out of all of the versions of Wipeout Pure. I recommend playing that version of the game.Step 2: Acquire the DLC files for Wipeout Pulse. There are four packs in total: Auricom, Harimau, Icaras, and Mirage. Each pack should have five files: PACK.edat, PACKUI1.edat, PACK UI2.edat, PACKUI3.edat, and PARAM.pbp.
The PARAM.pbp should be the same for each pack. If it isn't, the PARAM.pbp that you want to keep has a CRC32 value of cf9164f5. If you are in doubt, check No-Intro's PSP PSN datafiles. They have the correct checksums for each file. Please note that while Wipeout Pure's DLC was free, all the DLC for Wipeout Pulse is PAID. Thus, these files are significantly harder to find than the DLC files for Wipeout Pure.Step 3.
Navigate to the folder where your PPSSPP memory stick is located. On Windows, this will be either 'PPSSPPmemstickPSP' if you use the portable version or 'DocumentsPPSSPPPSP' if you used the installer. On my Android, the folder is '/sdcard/PSP/'.
This folder should also contain a folder called 'SAVEDATA'. It may also contain a 'PPSSPPSTATE' folder, a 'SYSTEM' folder, a 'CHEATS' folder, and a 'TEXTURES' folder.Step 4. Create a folder named 'GAME' if it does not already exist.Step 5.
Enter the 'GAME' folder you just created, and create a folder named 'UCES00465' inside it.Step 6. Enter the 'UCES00465' folder, and place all 16.EDAT files and PARAM.PBP in this folder. There should be no subfolders. If you did it correctly, and you start the game in PPSSPP, you should be able to see the DLC ships when you go to the 'select ship' menu.I have not yet been able to get the 'use mp3's as music while racing' feature to work yet. I'll let you know if I do manage to get it to work on PPSSPP.EDIT: Alternatively, you could play the Europe-exculsive PS2 port of Wipeout Pulse. The ships that are DLC in the PSP version are on the PS2 disc. It also has 60Hz support, which is a nice addition to a Europe-exclusive game. However, I don't recommend this.
PPSSPP save files can run on Windows, Android, on a real PSP, or a hacked Vita running Adrenaline.
